In this class, we will investigate flow and organic movement qualities, exploring techniques that provide clarity and fluidity by using more efficiently our body structure. We will play with:
– level changing – exploring how we enter the floor and how to get away from it;
– weight shifting;
– spatial awareness;
– body structure and alignment (bones, joints, soft tissues and muscle chains);
– movement vectors ;
– different movement dynamics – playing between attack and release;
– and a high sense of musicality.
The class is developed through very physical and dynamic choreographic compositions, progressing successively from floor exercises to standing. We will go as well through improvisation exercises considering the personal/individual body needs, encouraging you to reach your creative limits.
You will work in a refined and sensory way but you can definitely expect to sweat and work out!
Open for all levels.
