Disgusting Beauty are a Berlin based psych-punk band who began in early 2016. After the release of their first EP in 2018 (BlueCat, Berlin), the tireless band jumped back into their favorite task – writing, creating, and recording more new music; all while touring their first EP in Germany and France (including shows at 8mm Bar, Kantine am Berghain, Supersonic or Molotow).
Eager to create a more ambitions and experimental sound, the band recorded and mixed the EP in Berlin’s Funkhaus and at Phil Manzanera’s (Roxy Music) Gallery Studios in London.
Now it is time for Berlin to experience the vivid, lush guitar soundscapes and aggressive train-like drive of bass of the group’s upcoming EP for the first time.
Finding the sweet spot between garage, psyche and grunge, Berlin-based band Father Midnight hopped into the limelight back in August 2015 with their eponymous first EP. Bubbling with high-energy virtuosity, this band bursts through the fourth wall into our collective guilty conscience with “My Mouth is Always Hungry”: a track so wrapped up in fun it belies the underbelly of Western culture, as exposed by the accompanying video.
Opening live shows for bands such as The Murlocs (including members of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard), Guantanamo Baywatch and Paint Fumes, Father Midnight give a saucy wink to Marc Bolan’s falsetto groove, as they lure the audience into a dance floor boogie that just won’t let their feet behave.
