A Day of Georgian Culture
On September 12th, Spree Markt opens its doors to contemporary Georgian culture: a day of music, design, food and community.
The programme moves between tradition and the present. Music from eZo Collective, an underground gathering rooted in Tbilisi, live shows through the afternoon, and a market of Georgian and Berlin-based makers: ceramics, prints, textiles, beeswax candles, vintage finds. Supra classics next to new culinary experiments.
Scattered across the venue there is more to find: Georgian film screenings, workshops for adults and kids, a drum circle, and a Movement Journey guided by Ekata, carried by Georgian music from traditional to contemporary.
For one day, Spree Markt becomes an open space for celebrating, sharing and coming together.

18:30-20:00 Uhr – Conscious Dance Workshop at SALÖÖN
The body loves to move, feel, express and release, but we don’t always give it the freedom to do so. In this workshop, we create a space to let things happen: to allow movements to emerge, sensations to unfold, and the body to let go. There are no “do’s” or “don’ts”, no right or wrong way to move, and no previous dance experience needed. You are invited to listen inward, follow your impulses, and let your body be danced. Guided gently by Ekata, we journey from the outside world into the body, from the thinking mind towards body intelligence, and from doing towards simply being and letting movement arise. The journey is carried by various flavours of Georgian music — traditional and contemporary, rhythmic and atmospheric — offering different landscapes for the body to explore, express and connect. Ekata has been facilitating conscious dance gatherings for eight years and guiding movement-based retreats. She is currently in training to become a 5Rhythms teacher.
