DRÄI Album Tour 2024 



Wenn Say Yes Dog eine neue Tour annoncieren, dann ist das immer auch eine Verheißung. Eindeutig ist ihr Elektropop für den ausgelassenen Tanz gemacht. Gleichzeitig vermögen es ihre Melodien, in manchmal sanfte und bisweilen pochende Melancholie zu sinken. Seit ihrer Gründung vor einem Jahrzehnt hat die Gruppe Bühnen auf allen Kontinenten bespielt – und ist dabei zu einer oszillierenden Einheit verschmolzen. Nachdem das Trio im März 2024 ihre bisher größten Shows in Berlin, Hamburg, Köln und München gespielt haben, führen sie nun ihre Tour im Herbst fort: eine Konzertreise, die sie durch ganz Europa führen wird. Dabei stellen sie ihrem Publikum ein brandneues und ihr wohl vielschichtigstes Album vor: Im Schmelztiegel von Independentmusik und Synth-Pop haben auf „DRÄI“ alle Schattierungen von Say Yes Dog ihre schönste Form gefunden.

Under the name Empress Of, Honduran-American songwriter, musician and producer Lorely Rodriguez creates introspective, self-empowering pop music centered around her impressive, acrobatic vocals. For Your Consideration, a follow-up to 2020’s I’m Your Empress Of and 2022’s Save Me EP, is a bi-lingual album that embraces camp and fantasy playing with the idea of Hollywood. The songs, which veer between English and Spanish, reflect on the transactional nature of love and sex, which is mirrored by the ephemeral sense of existence in the entertainment industry. Empress Of has collaborated with Top 40 pop artists and cultural icons such as Khalid, Blood Orange, Lewis OfMan, DJ legend Boyz Noise, ShyGirl and Salute.  She's toured with the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Lizzo, Maggie Rogers, Rina Sawayama and wowed audiences at festivals such as Outside Lands and Corona Capital.  Her "For Your Consideration" headline tour begins in September of 2024.

Two Another are Eliot Porter and Angus Campbell, a musical duo originating from Sydney, Australia. Their kaleidoscopic mix of Electronic, Alternate RnB, Indie Pop and Soul has been heard across the globe since joining forces in 2015, amassing a following of over 1.8 million monthly listeners and over 400 million streams to date, with tour dates spanning across Europe, the Americas, the UK and back home in Australia.

Now based in Europe, the band’s global origin story lies under the Australian sun with Eliot and Angus meeting in their high school music program where they were taught audio production by hometown dance-music-icons Bag Raiders. The pair quickly bonded over a mutual love of D’Angelo, Daft Punk and Danger Mouse. “Growing up in that golden era of indie, Ed Banger and French Touch, we shared a love of 90s electronica, dance and hip hop, and our parent’s Motown records,” says Angus, “There was a lot to be inspired by.”

The duo’s recordings have since gone on to achieve significant success, accumulating hundreds of millions of streams of their EPs ‘Another Tape‘ and ‘Two Sides’, followed by their debut album ‘Back To Us’. Their versatility is evident in their remixes and collaborations with artists like Young Franco, Portugal The Man, The Magician, and Claptone.

On stage Two Another creates an undeniable connection with any audience they are put in front of. The live band elevates the catalog, taking their grooves, musicality and vocal-driven anthems to another level. Outside of headline tours of their own the pair have made their way onto stages around the world while supporting the likes of Rufus Du Sol, Flight Facilities, SG Lewis, Daniel Caeser, Cannons, and Roosevelt.

2024 is set to be the biggest year yet for the pair. They will release their second full length album, ‘SUBURBIA’ in the Fall alongside their first ever World Tour. The new album is a coming-of-age story that follows fictional characters through their challenges and triumphs of navigating the final four years of high school in the suburbs. This musical odyssey unfolds through four distinct EPs — FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORE, JUNIOR, SENIOR — and culminates in the collected works released at the SUBURBIA LP.

Nach dem Gold zertifizierten Nummer Eins-Debütalbum „Ansa Woar“ (2016) und dem bei den Amadeus Austrian Music Awards als Album des Jahres ausgezeichneten Meisterwerk „`s klane Glücksspiel“ (2019) sowie einem erfolgreichen Soundtrack-Ausflug („Sargnagel – Der Film“), der ihm eine Nominierung für den österreichischen Filmpreis einbrachte, ist Voodoo Jürgens nun zurück mit seinem bisherigen Opus Magnum "Wie die Nocht noch jung wor".

Lyrisch war er nie präziser, die Musik changiert dabei gekonnt. Mal ist sie zart und anrührend, dann wieder feurig mitreißend; seine Band die Ansa Panier ist längst als beste Live-Band im ganzen Land bekannt, swingt, twisted und jazzed sich unmucker-haft, geschmackvoll und immer mit einer Leidenschaft als ginge es um ihr Leben durch ein Panoptikum allerschönster Klänge, während Voodoo seine Geschichten erzählt.

Geschichten von Außenseitern, Gaunern, Verlierern und abgehängten Antihelden. Ihnen gibt Voodoo eine Stimme. Soweit so bekannt. Neu ist, dass Voodoo diesmal mehr als früher persönliches preisgibt und uns durch sein lyrisches ich hier auch immer wieder von seinen eigenen Kämpfen erzählt, uns an seinem Seelenleben teilhaben lässt.

„Wie die nocht noch jung wor“ zeigt einen Künstler auf einem ersten Zenit. Es ist zeitlos, mutig, selbstbewusst und voll rauer Emotion.

Das ist kein Austropop. Das ist Wiener Soul.
