CUMBIA FEST invites you once again to the celebration of the Day of the Dead - EL DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS - a very special day in Mexico and other Latin American countries, where people come together in a joyful moment to remember the departed and celebrate their memory. This special event is the closing party of a whole week of amazing activities at HOLZMARKT around the Mexican Day of the Dead and combines ancient traditions and modern spirit - an inspiring encounter that creates a bridge between life and death, where we will dance together alongside friends and family of present and past! A colorful space where time stands still for one night!

KUMBIA BORUKA, a symphony of rhythm and energy, is an 8-piece band based in Lyon, France, with musicians from Mexico, Chile, Argentina and France, known for their electrifying sound and heavy-weight cumbia that has its roots in the Colombian spirit and the streets of Mexico. A vibrant performance powered by a fierce rhythm section, exciting brass arrangements and the brilliant sound of the accordion!
LOS BABY JAGUARS, formed by 7 experienced musicians with diverse cultural backgrounds is a Berlin based band known for their unique blend of Latin sounds influenced by psychedelia, cumbia, afrobeat and Latin funk. A sound experience and exciting journey straight into the Amazonian jungle!
