On July 11th, NŪN invites you to the Men el Mashreq lel Maghreb | من الشرق للغرب.

at Holzmarkt, a one-day programme of music, fashion, food, craft, storytelling and performance showcasing contemporary SWANA cultures. From Morocco to Iran, SWANA culture spans borders and shared sensibilities in rhythm, hospitality and aesthetics. 

The Takeover centres on cultural authorship, and expression, creating space for dignity, solidarity, and evolving collective narratives across communities today.

A contemporary food concept drawing inspiration from Levantine flavors, centered around shared plates, open-fire cooking, and seasonal ingredients. 

Wasahlan - Egyptian Classics

A food offering inspired by Egyptian culinary traditions, featuring familiar comfort foods and regional flavors presented in a casual, community-oriented format.

Malek el Konafeh - Konafeh 

a beloved, traditional Middle Eastern dessert featuring crispy, buttery shredded pastry layered with gooey, melted cheese or sweet cream.

 

LAYALI NŪN - Afterparty Programme (22:00 – 4:30)

💢Saalchen 💢 

The after party is dedicated to those who have mastered infusing their heritage and lineage into techno. From 22:30 until late, the afterparty at Saalchen brings together artists from across the Arab diaspora, exploring the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary electronic music. Traditional rhythms, regional influences, and hypnotic techno merge into a sound that is both rooted and forward-looking. The night celebrates diaspora expression, cultural exchange, and the power of the dancefloor to connect worlds through sound.
